Porth Joke is an attractive cove south of Crantock beach. Known locally as Polly Joke this sandy beach is backed by cliffs and much quieter than nearby Newquay Beaches.
Narrow and deeper than it is wide and backing onto a shallow valley with a stream running down. At low tide there is a large expanse of sand, much less as high tide. Also rock pools and caves.
Access to Porth Joke is a long walk from the car park.
